What is Soju?
Soju (燒酒) is a Korean alcoholic beverage and a type of distilled liquor. There are two main types of soju. Distilled Soju, a soju made by distilling rice wine made by fermenting grains with a single distiller called Sojutgori. It is divided into two types of dilution type soju, which is made by diluting water and other additives to produce a large amount of alcohol of about 95 proof using a modern distillation column.
History

The main raw material for soju is rice, usually with wheat, barley and other grains. So sweet potatoes and cassava are also added to the soju raw materials. The ban was not lifted until 1999.
